Each year, 3 to 4 million pets are tragically euthanized in shelters across the United States simply because of overcrowding. A lot of these pets are wanted in other areas of the country and have homes waiting for them – but these homes are far from where the pets have been impounded.
The Bark Avenue Foundation, in collaboration with our partners at Wings of Rescue and Shelter Me, are transporting hundreds of “unwanted” shelter pets to safety throughout the country, where these pets are quickly adopted into loving homes.
Our goal is to transport 400 dogs from Southern California shelters, and to do this we need to raise $30,000 (or $75 per pet). Yes, $75 is a life changing amount of money for these pets who otherwise have no other option.
Please join our team by donating to help us continue these transports. If you are unable to donate $75, we are able to pair your donation of any amount with other donors to save a pet! http://www.gofundme.com/8jciho
Everyone involved in the rescue effort is an unpaid volunteer – and there are zero administrative costs.
